we are pleased to be presenting for the first time a very talented local dj and personal friend of the fmh crew: dj michelle c. usually known for heavy funky whomping bass lines and vivacious beats, michelle has an incredibly diversified portfolio of jams in her record bag. spanning everything from drum and bass and dubstep to electro and deep house, it is evident that she has an talent for spinning every type of music imaginable. fmh resident dj swea had the opportunity to share the decks with michelle earlier this month and as you will hear in this delectable selection of funky traxx, this lady definitely has an ear for what gets people moving. best to download this mixtape and keep your attenuators cranked to eleven. enjoy!

giom was born and raised in niort, france and now lives in london where, when he's not busy touring and recording with various artists as a session drummer, he djs and produces smooth, sexy, deep house music. his music is heavily influenced by the likes of legendary djs such as derrick carter, mark farina and url=http://www.myspace.com/sneakthedj]dj sneak[/url]. giom released his first track in 2006 on dj heather's blackcherry recordings, under a license from om records. after it's release, he quickly gained the support of some of the world's biggest underground house djs, with mark farina, dj heather, diz, johnny fiasco and the lawnchair generals all playing his tracks during their sets. giom is also half of duo bobby & klein a fantastic house production group from london england. we have played countless tracks by this guy on our podcasts, radio shows and at live events. we're certain you'll enjoy this mellowed out deep sexy funk.

the gathering was conceived in 1991 with the goal of uniting the new but already fracturing rave scene in san francisco. four small parties called come-unity, eklypz, piesces, and destiny came together to do the first gathering at a disused church on harrison street. it was a mind blowing dance marathon that ended at 9am in the morning. a legend was born.

since that day, there have been over 55 gatherings in sf, sj, la, hawaii, seattle, amsterdam & ireland. the locations were always secretive and unique ranging from warehouse break ins, aircraft hangers, clubs & ranches, to national guard armories, race tracks, union halls & bowling alleys. no matter where the gatherings happened the result was always the same, a high energy positive event with great music and lots of smiling loving dancing people.... here is but a taste of ninety seven with classic farina at his best with tracks that will take you back to a time and a place that is indescribable to those who didn't experience it first hand.

for a lot of people, crazy penis (chris todd & jim baron) or crazy p (as they like to be referred to nowadays) are something very new and one of the most visible faces of the extremely celebrated revival of the legendary space disco genre of house music. truth be told, crazy p has actually been slamming out solid tunes for close to fifteen years contributing in a definitive way to electronic music’s culture with several albums on labels such as paper recordings, shiva records and 20:20 vision.

the word on the street is, that after a crazy weekend in ibiza, one of our favorite long-standing record labels, om records was able to convince crazy p to stop in barcelona to play a show at [url/http://www.macarenaclub.com]macarena[/url], one of the city's most intimate venues, during the sonar week festival. this is but a slice of what has now become known as crazy p's disco paradise. enjoy.
